Setting up the lab!

Andres, Tristan and Connor hard at work retro-fitting old pigeon cages to make them suitable for zebra finches. We now have 40-60 birds in each large free-flight cage. Each cage has wooden and rope perches of different diameters, large mason jar feeders/water handing from the ceilings, baths on the floor and millet spray, cuttle bones, grit/shells available at several locations.

Connor Lambert has 2 new paper out!

Congratulations to Connor Lambert who had two papers published this month! One from his undergraduate work in the Department of Plant & Wildlife Sciences at Brigham Young University and the other from his MSc work in the Department of Biology at Miami University. New paper out!

New paper out by Lauren and her collaborator Liam Dougherty from the University of Liverpool. This meta-analysis was published in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B in a special issue devoted to The causes and consequences of individual differences in cognitive abilities.
