The Department of Psychology Distinguished Scholar Lecture Series is welcoming Dr. Morten H. Christiansen to deliver a series of lectures on language: How Does Language Work? Insights from Evolution, Acquisition and Processing.
This is a three-part, three-day series, which will be held on the following days:
Lecture 1, Sep 19, 2018 @ 3:30pm: How cultural evolution has shaped language to fit the brain
Lecture 2, Sep 20 @ 3:30pm: Why language acquisition is like skill learning
Lecture 3, Sep 21 @ 3:30pm: What the sounds of words tell us about their meaning
