{"id":782,"date":"2013-06-01T11:15:32","date_gmt":"2013-06-01T19:15:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kylemathewson.com\/?p=782"},"modified":"2013-06-01T11:15:32","modified_gmt":"2013-06-01T19:15:32","slug":"from-mathewson-to-mayflower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.psych.ualberta.ca\/kylemathewson\/from-mathewson-to-mayflower\/","title":{"rendered":"From Mathewson To Mayflower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just a slight divergence from brain science for a second so I can put down in writing one of my genealogical histories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kylemathewson.korymathewson.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/image7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/kylemathewson.korymathewson.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/image_thumb7.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"651\" height=\"222\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Mayflower_passengers\" target=\"_blank\">Priscilla Mullins was on the mayflower with her Mom Alice Atwood and dad William Mullins<\/a> (who died the year the boat landed in the great sickness)<\/p>\n<p>She married John Alden, who also arrived on the first mayflower voyage.<\/p>\n<p>John Allen won Priscilla from another suiter and another Mayflower Pilgrim, Myles Standish, another distant relative of ours through the DeWolf\/Kirtland line on You grandma&#8217; carrie&#8217;s mom&#8217;s side.<\/p>\n<p>There is a well known poem \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Courtship_of_Miles_Standish\" target=\"_blank\">The Courtship of Miles Standish<\/a>\u201d about a love triangle between <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Alden\" target=\"_blank\">John Allen<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Miles_Standish\" target=\"_blank\">Myles Standish,<\/a> and Priscilla Williams<\/p>\n<p>Myles Standish is not the proven father of Thomas Standish, however, so this case isn&#8217;t as strong&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Back to John Allen and Priscilla Mullins, they had a daughter Elizabeth in 1624<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kylemathewson.korymathewson.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/kylemathewson.korymathewson.name\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/image_thumb.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"591\" height=\"435\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth m. Hanna Rogers m. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/William_Bradford_(Plymouth_Colony_governor)\" target=\"_blank\">Lt. Samuel Bradford<\/a><\/p>\n<p>daught.
