Congratulations to Teresa Mejia who was recently awarded two prestigious graduate research awards!
1) Teresa was awarded the inaugural Dean’s MSc Research Award. This award is given to a master’s student for academic excellence and outstanding research capabilities.
2) Teresa was also awarded the Field Law Leilani Muir Graduate Research Scholarship. This award is presented to a graduate student who demonstrates substantial social science or humanities research promise and an interest in further developing her or his research skills. Preference is given to students with research interests in the area of human rights, persons with disabilities, or social well-being. This award is funded by Field Law in honour of the historical legal victory won by Leilani Muir and hundreds of victims of sterilization and is funded via the Edmonton Community Foundation and the Calgary Foundation.
