Early Learning Pilot Project
In collaboration with ABC Head Start and Edmonton Catholic and Public School Boards, this project investigated children’s social and emotional development and early academic skills in the context of early childhood classroom practices. We followed a small cohort of children from preschool through grade 1 to examine how the quality of interactions among children and teachers in preschool classrooms relate to children’s social and emotional development.
This project was funded by the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI).
