It has also affected our relationships with other people, including people from other ethnic groups. Noels<\/h4>\t\t\t<p class=\"text\">Kimberly A. Noels (PhD, University of Ottawa) is a Full Professor of Psychology at the University of Alberta.  Her interdisciplinary research program focuses on how language and identity develop as immigrants settle into Canada, and how their social interactions with established Canadians facilitate or impede the complex, dynamic processes of language acquisition, social-psychological adaptation, and acculturation.<\/p>\t\n            \t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><div id=\"panel-204-2-0-4\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_image-box-widget\" data-index=\"6\" >\t\t<div class=\"image-box\">\n\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.psych.ualberta.ca\/IClab-COVID19\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/nigel.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"120\" \/>\t\t\t<h4>Nigel Mantou Lou<\/h4>\t\t\t<p class=\"text\">Nigel Mantou Lou (Ph.D., Univerity of Alberta) is a post-doc fellow at McGill University. His research interests include intercultural communication, mental health, and the psychology of immigration. Her research studies focus on how knowledge in academia can be mobilized for laypersons and audiences.
