Face Masking Interviews

  • Description: We invite Canadian citizens and permanent residents to participate in an online group interview led by researchers at the University of Alberta (Study ID: Pro00099471). In this group discussion, we invite you share your personal opinions regarding preventative health practices, including the use of facemasks, during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Health Promotion Practices During COVID-19

    • Description: Canadian citizens and permanent residents are invited  to participate in an online questionnaire (Study ID: Pro00099471). The questionnaire examines your experiences during COVID-19 and your personal opinions regarding preventative health practices including the use of face masks.

  • Interethnic Relations During COVID-19

    • Description: This survey investigates Canadians’ health and well-being during COVID-19 as well as their attitudes and  experiences with other ethnic groups, including Asian Canadians.
    • Method: Online survey (duration: 15 minutes)
    • Eligibility: Canadian citizens and permanent residents who do not have East Asian ancestry

    COVID-19, Culture, Personality and Quality of Life

    • Description: The aim of this international project involving more than 50 countries is to explore societal and psychological determinants of the quality of life around the world as a result of experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic, with particular focus on health beliefs and behaviours.

    Chinese Canadians’ Experiences During COVID-19

    • Description: This survey examines the experiences of people of Chinese ancestry in Canada, particularly around well-being and health practices (eg. wearing a face mask) and incidents of discrimination.
