Volunteer Opportunities

We believe volunteerism is crucial for creating healthy, vibrant, and connected Albertans. Through volunteering, you can create a positive impact and help shape the future of your community.

Volunteer Alberta

Calling all mentors and mentees! We are now recruiting for our 2021-2022 Peer Mentorship Program. This program connects first-year students transitioning into university to mentors in their upper years of study. The UPA hopes to empower both the mentor and the mentee and establish lasting connections in the psychology community.

Peer mentors are in their second year or higher of their academic program and interested in helping first-years navigate the university transition and field of psychology. Mentors should also have one year of experience at the UofA and be committed! Sign up to be a mentor this Fall 2021!

Volunteering is a great way to gain experience, make connections with others, and try new things! The UPA is committed to informing students about both internal and external volunteer opportunities so that students can not only gain experience but also determine what career paths interest them for the future.

We have compiled a list of volunteering opportunities to help you find an experience that applies what you learned in class to the betterment of the human experience.
